Last week of the season then for the weekly shows! Much like I did the previous Winter season, I may opt to make a final little roundup after this for various other Spring productions I watched, but did not write about. You can be on the lookout for it early next week then, lest I get sucked to far into the Summer season prep-work.
If you have been reading these weeklies as they happen this season, I certainly more than thank you. If I did not happen to pick up anything you were more interested in however, that is OK too! Summer season is about to cause all kinds of shakeups, as my plate will basically be cleared, and as of right now I have not firmly decided on what I actually want to tackle from it.
So there is, in the end, always next time to look forward to.

Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara (Gaworare) [If Her Flag Breaks], Collected Commentary Notebook (1 – 13)
My episodic notes, reactions, and commentary from Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara (Gaworare) [If Her Flag Breaks], which aired during the Spring 2014 anime season.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Twelve
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.
Our sumo show is still down for the count this week, as I am assuming our lead character there is either still on or recovering from some massive World Cup partying bender.
Probably a little of both, to be fair.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Eleven
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara, and Miss Monochrome: Supporter.
Our sumo series hit a production break, and I assume our hero there is trying to use the cover of the World Cup to slack off and take a nap when he thinks nobody is looking.
Instead though, we then have an unexpected substitution call off the bench.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Ten
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.
Some of these programs realized graduation season is soon to be upon them with the end of the spring shows, and stepped up accordingly! Meanwhile, one thinks it can just screw around based on past successes and coast for a bit, so we will have to see if that comes back to bite it come final exams.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Nine
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.
Promo videos and summer season previews are creeping up more each week now?
I am not ready for that shift, no sirree. So let’s not think about the future, as for now we have ping pong and princesses.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Eight
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara, and M3: The Dark Metal.
I watched a few other airing series in passing this holiday weekend so I’m not as swamped with everything I’m putting off at the end of the season!
I will throw in an extra comment only for M3: The Dark Metal though, given the lower attention that show receives around the internet.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Seven
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.
You know, when I made a joke last week about my write-up lineup as a sports anime tournament, I did not actually know The World Is Still Beautiful had a production break coming up!
I guess this really is getting to feel like a series of knockout rounds.
Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Six
This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.
If my write-ups this season were a sports anime tournament, Ping Pong would have served Matsutaro hard enough to make him do one of those Tasmanian Devil spin fits. Gaworare, meanwhile, would have taken The World is Still Beautiful to the mid-day lunch buffet and the latter would be so melodramatically overcome by the power of friendship and togetherness speech they would join the other team.
Can the plucky harem show that could beat back the ping pong powerhouses?
