Summer Sunset Destiny Divergence, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Fashion Lookbook

Outfit from August 2021.

In recent months I had used Guilty Gear’s May and enough Quna merchandise to be a tour group sellers table.

Each of which to link one era ending and another beginning.

But it did mean I felt I was missing something heading into August.

I had yet to have a real “summer” look.

Going through my wardrobe, I wanted to make use of Abeille’s attire from Idola: Phantasy Star Saga. The yellow and teal gradient can remind one of both the beach and beach drinks.

Pairing it with yellow Sports Sunglasses goes well with the upper half of the gradient, while also making it a bit more casual. The dress gets rather busy in places. So the silver feather earrings and heart necklace accessorize without making things even busier.

Because the dress is sleeveless on the right arm, I had to decide if or what I would do with this.

I would have to choose Innerwear to either maintain the sleeveless look, or to break it up.

I made the choice to break it up. The visual suggestion becomes one of my character having a bathing suit, with the dress as a pullover on top of it. Which again, I feel adds a sportier look to the dress and makes it all a bit more casual.

Even if I am locked into heels.

The Muse Frau in particular has angel wings on the back as a strap arrangement. These worked super well between the Angel Feather back accessory I have used so much. It lent a lot to the bit of my character you see at sunset overlooking the sea. The mint teal color also makes it stand out more from the front. A black or similar darker strap color would make it seem too much like it was a part of the dress itself.

The single red rose on my back in some pictures is a PSO 2 weapon camo, Amore Rose, for a Talis or Harmonizer. I was maining Techter at the time, as the Bouncer class had yet to make its appearance in New Genesis.

This is the first month I tried to take most of my pictures in New Genesis. My current computer is something I built over New Year’s 2016, using 2015 or older parts. So it gets tricky trying to capture long environmental distance shots in the new environments. The new game engine also likes to fade out items which appear too close to the camera. This is understandable for fast action gameplay reasons. This made getting close environmental details in my screenshots also tricky, such as trying to pose with many flowers without them appearing transparent. The time of day also shifts in wider ways than ever before.

None of which is me complaining, so much as noting. I had a lot to learn about how I was going to be taking screenshots in the months and potential years ahead.

Which is a pretty handy memory to hold on to, as fading summer sunsets go.
