Outfit from January through April 2021.
There may not have been a dedicated top level Jet Set Radio collaboration event. But I wanted to make a go of trying to capture such a look on my own after these months.
I pick up lots of outfit parts and accessories off the market, just to save for a future me who might be able to make use of it.
With a worldwide viral pandemic going on for over a year, and my own status as an Essential Frontline Worker with mandatory overtime piling up, I aimed for something in keeping with the style of JSR’s Love Shockers gang with a mix of Rapid 99.
The hearts could even kind of serve double duty as a roundabout Valentine’s getup, if I lacked time to change, right?
With the benefit of hindsight, this became the longest I have yet gone before changing my outfit on these servers.
After all: I was an Essential Frontline Worker with mandatory overtime piling up. You can imagine the rest.
The winter is the worst months of the pandemic, as I am sure you are well aware.
There is a certain sadness, looking back on this outfit. But I am also happy with what I was able to do with it during such a time.
As a Bouncer main, I use Jet Boots as a primary weapon. I wore the rainbow trail generating Hyper Night Parade inline skates from the day they arrived in an early wedding event until the very day New Genesis started.
This would be one of the situations my skates would feel most appropriate: trying to cosplay a lesbian street skating graffiti gang.
I take off my weapons and whatnot for most of my screenshots.
But the rainbow neon skates, who served me so well, needed a time to shine as well.
