Mothballs: I Still Hear The Sound Coming Out Of The Sweet Blue Flowers

This Week: Sweet Blue Flowers (Aoi Hana)

In a word association game, I would have previously associated the idea of sweet blue flowers with a particular variety of Earl Grey tea mixed with cornflower and blue mallow petals.

Which is appropriate, given the flavor this shoujo ai series aims to have.

Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Eight

This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara, and M3: The Dark Metal.

I watched a few other airing series in passing this holiday weekend so I’m not as swamped with everything I’m putting off at the end of the season!

I will throw in an extra comment only for M3: The Dark Metal though, given the lower attention that show receives around the internet.

Anime Blog Anniversary – Super Song And Dance Link Party Adventures

One year and over a hundred posts later from the date of the first post, and this entire anime blog project of mine has yet to burst into flames. So that is pretty swell!

In the spirit of celebration then: Reflecting on Cool Stuff and eyes toward the future! Cake and drinks are in the kitchen!

Mothballs: The Macross 7th Fleet And Me

This Week: Macross 7

Tomorrow marks one year of material dated to this anime blog. Except that means I technically have to do my proper anniversary post over the weekend, which meant I would still need to watch something to talk about for a normal Friday post beforehand.

This sounded just about right.

Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Seven

This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.

You know, when I made a joke last week about my write-up lineup as a sports anime tournament, I did not actually know The World Is Still Beautiful had a production break coming up!

I guess this really is getting to feel like a series of knockout rounds.

Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Six

This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.

If my write-ups this season were a sports anime tournament, Ping Pong would have served Matsutaro hard enough to make him do one of those Tasmanian Devil spin fits. Gaworare, meanwhile, would have taken The World is Still Beautiful to the mid-day lunch buffet and the latter would be so melodramatically overcome by the power of friendship and togetherness speech they would join the other team.

Can the plucky harem show that could beat back the ping pong powerhouses?

Hangers: Spring Anime, Week Five

This Week: Ping Pong The Animation, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro!!, and Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara.

Is it too late to make a May Day joke, as the schedule of these posts makes this the first one of its kind this month?

Well, we are almost halfway through the season, so the picture on how much of an emergency tailspin these productions may be in or not is getting ever clearer.
